Diary Of States Visit February 2025

Bri and I went to the states for Arlene’s wedding. It was a crazy trip getting there. Megan and Matt and Bri went to the amazing wedding. I met up with a former coworker and met other cool people. I only stayed four nights total in the states but I made the most of it. After Tampa, we went to Tampa then to New Orleans to hang out with Megan and Matt. It was a lot of fun.

• Got up and started packing and cleaning
• Fell while dropped Lando off
• Bus to Lisbon
• Taxi to hotel
• Ran into Lisa
• Room for bed

Saturday, February 15, 2025

• Didn’t get good sleep at all at hotel
• Got up & got ready
• Quick breakfast
• Got shuttle & ran into Lisa again
• Got to Lisbon Airport & long check-in process
• Dinked around airport waiting for flight; Got crappy yogurt bowl
• First plane to Philly; slept and watched movies
• Had to go through TSA again
• Once in Philly tried desperately to find sim Cards
• Flight to Charlotte
• Once in Charlotte plane delayed to Tampa; ran for nothing
• Got into Tampa & got bag
• Taxi to hotel & chatted with taxi driver
• Megan & Matt met us in hotel
• Checked into room
• Megan & Matt & I went to Voodoo brewery
• Pizza & beer flights
• Back to hotel for sleep

Sunday, February 16, 2025

• Got up early & took a bath
• Went downstairs for breakfast but no free breakfast
• Waited around in hotel Then got ready
• Realized I forgot a few things & bad shorts
• Met Megan & Matt in lobby
• Waited in lobby for limo but limo never came
• Decided to walk
• We were early so got memossas at the bar
• Waited for elevator to open
• Wedding ceremony
• Hordervs & drinks & chat with Tony & Mike
• Dancing & drinks & food & awesome time at wedding
• After wedding got limo back to hotel
• Quick shower & out for more drinks
• Went to bar but they were closed so Went to another bar
• Megan headed back to hotel
• Chatted & drinks with Matt & Bri
• Back to hotel for sleep

Monday, February 17, 2025

• Got up early & took a bath
• Got ready & met Megan & Matt in lobby 
• Uber to airport
• Breakfast at airport
• Flight to NOLA
• Got Jeep and went to Megan’s mom’s
• Saw them for a few minutes then i went with Megan to get Rex
• Matt and Bri got Rhett and a sim card
• Met back at Megan’s place
• Went to lunch with everyone
• Picked up a king cake
• Went over to Megan’s grandmother’s for hang out & dinner 
• Back to Megan’s place for kid stuff & went to apartment
• Bri stayed at apartment but I went back to Megan’s to hang out & chat
• Megan dropped me off later

Tuesday, February 18, 2025

• Got up early & reorganized clothes and suitcase
• Got laundry together & showered
• Matt picked us up
• Coffee at Megan’s
• When Megan got back from dropping Rex off we went to ferry
• Took ferry and went to Marti Gras world by their bus
• Did the tour
• Went to the mall and had lunch
• Crawdads & walked around since lunch took so long we couldn’t do another tour
• Bought sunglasses
• Took ferry back & picked up both kids
• In the evening went out to market place to eat
• Back to Megan & Matt’s for drinks & hang out
• Back to apartment for sleep

Wednesday, February 19, 2025

• Got up & packed to leave
• Fell asleep again before Matt picked us up
• Back to their house
• Matt made coffee and showed off his 3d printer 
• Played boat game with Megan
• Had to check into flight & stressed because of travel & seating
• Left & stopped for po boy lunch
• i got dropped off at the airport
• When there got on wifi and my flight was delayed
• Walked up to get my ticket & they made me check in my bag
• Walked around airport and had 4 beers at the bar
• Set alarm & waited
• Waited to board flight & it kept being pushed back
• Middle seat
• Landed in Canada & had to run to next gate
• Passport scanner didn’t work 
• More running
• Finally got to plane to get onto Lisbon flight
